A NEW DAY

It is now a NEW DAY..what do I mean by that you ask? I mean that now Easter has passed by, Christ has risen and will be there for us always. HE has always been there for us, just do we let Him in always? I don't think we do. I know you mean well in you everyday life, but do you really live by what you say? Better still, do you live by what God says? You may think you do, but step back and look at yourself.Do you call yourself a Christian, yet don't go to church, live like GOD teaches us? If you are answering NO to either of these questions, you need to do a reality check, maybe. GOD would want you to live by the words HE has taught us, and is continuing to teach us each day. If you don't go to church, to GOD's House, you really should, especially if you are up and able to go. Especially if you have children that are not grown up and live on their own. They are the ones that need to hear how GOD wants us to live and learn HIS words. They are the innocent ones that we need to let know that GOD will always be there for not only us, but them for ever and ever. HE will never give up on us, none of us, no matter what age we are. HE is always and will always be our SAVIOR. HE alone is the ONE that will hear our every word. We do not even have to speak words, just think what we want to say to HIM, and HE will hear them. I don't want to sound hard hearted or mean to anyone, but you need to listen to what GOD is and has been telling everyone. HE alone can save us, no one else can do that, only GOD, our SAVIOR! Our children need to know HE does really exsist, not only in one or two people's hearts, but HE lives in everyone's hearts that will allow Him to come in. All they have to do is believe in HIM and know that HE will take care of them the rest of their lives, and after that, HE will take them up to HIS home, heaven. Children can learn so much, especially from parents that are willing to take the time to sit down with them and just talk to them. They are just little people, just like us, but younger and shorter, most of the time. They have such love in their hearts and are so innocent. They do not know what hatred is, unless we, as adults, teach them. They do not know what prejudice is, unless we, as adults teach them. They do not know what lies are, unless we, as adults lie to them. You always need to be on your P's and Q's as to what you are doing and saying. These little people, our children, will copy us no matter what we say or do. They see us do something, they think it is OK to say it, do it and think it, because we, as adults, are saying it,doing it, and yes, maybe thinking it out loud! Children need our guidance all the time, not just because we are their parents, but even if we see another child that is doing wrong and their parent's aren't around, ask where they are, either show them the correct way, or let the parent know what the correct way is, so they may tell their chid(ren). We, as adults, parents, are their first teacher(s). We need to let them know right from wrong, long before they go to any school, or even any pre-school. They are never too young to learn. They come out of their mother's womb, learning. Their first taste of milk, they have learned to suckle it, either from "mom" or a bottle. But that is learning, not that they know it, but in order to get nourshment, they must be given it, so they learn to eat properly. That will go with them for their entire lives, learning. If we bring them up right, by GOD's way, then they too will learn right from wrong. They will learn GOD is there for them too. They will learn to follow HIS laws, read his words and from the Bible on what they need to do in order to live their own lives. Just stop and watch yourself, see how you're behaving and acting around your children, or anyone else's children. Ask yourself, "Is this the way GOD would want me to teach HIS children? IF your answer is "NO", then you have some learning to do yourself. You need to think of how you want your children to see you. Do you want them to see your being a "hating person, a liar, a prejudice person? If the answer to that question is NO, then change your own ways to GOD's way. Do the things HE wants you to do. Do the things HE would teach, and how HE would show the children. You are the first teacher for children, so be there for them! That little "Golden Rule" is ringing in my ears..."Do unto others, as you would want them to do unto you". Until later my dear friends!

Easter Moments

This time of year we want to teach our children the real meaning of Easter. I explain to my granddaughter it's not about hiding eggs, an Easter Bunny, or even finding the treasured "Golden Egg". It's about what God gave to all of us. HE gave His only Son so that we may believe in Him forever. We know this because so many of the writers of the Bible told us so. We know that God is seeing, hearing and feeling everything we do each day. I explain to my granddaughter that she knows in her heart that God only wants what is best for her. She tries to ask me when is she going to "see" God. I tell her when he feels it is her time to come up to see Him. For the time being, she is to stay on this earth and do His work, so that others may get to know Him too. She is only 8years old of course, but she knows he is in her heart. She knows that he gave what was so precious to him, His own Son. We in turn have to deliver the word of God to others so that they may believe too. We want to pass the real reason for this time of year to other children. If you like to hunt Easter Eggs and all that "fun stuff", then that is good. But remember what this time season is all about. It is about a love that is no greater than what God had for his only Son,that he wanted to show people there is a way to live their lives, the right way. The "Godly" way. We need to believe that everything we do will affect us, our children and anyone around us for the rest of our lives. What we do today, will reflect on what our own children will do when they are grown. It will reflect on how they will raiset their own children, and who they want them to believe in. Don't we want the best for our children? Of course the answer is YES! If you really do believe you want the very best, trust in the Lord, live the way He wants you to live. Do the best you can each and every day. Be a "hands-on" parent to your children. Don't wait for someone else to "raise them" for you. You are their "first" and formost teacher in their entire lives. They learn so much from just wathcing you and listening to what you say and do. You may not think they are listening, but you can best believe they are right there in the 'cracks' listening to every word you let out of your mouth. Your actions show them exactly what they are suppose to do. They think if it's "OK" for mommy and daddy to do it, then it must be "OK" for me to do the same thing they are doing too. This is why you want to check and double check yourself when you're around not only your own children, but all children. They leave by seeing and listening. If they see the wrong things being done, or hear that things are done a certain way, they think that "IS" the right way, because after all an adult is doing it, it must be the correct way. You need to understand that they have very sharp minds and rather very intelligent minds. They will see an adult do something once, and that sets the stage for them to always do it the way they see it. That is why we have to be so pictular how and what we say and do. Jesus loves the little children, and he wants them to follow 'His way', the right way. If we lead them down the wrong road, they may stay on that path, and it could be their path of destruction. We don't want that for our own children. We only want the best, and in order for that to happen, we have to do our best at all times. It is such a little price to pay, to get our children headed in the right direction. If we could just put them in a buble and not allow anything to get to them that we feel would coorupte them, then we probably would do that. But, we don't do that. We only want waht is best, and in order to do that, you must follow what God tells you to do on a daily basis. I don't mean to preach, but sometimes you may get hard headed, and if preaching is what you need, I won't get off my soap box until I am sure you understand that everything you do effects your own children one way or the other. Just remember in this time of year that God is there to let you into his heart, his mind and soul. Just let him come into you and you can always pick oursleves up and start over. It's not a dead end if we make a mistake. That is why God wants us to be the "first teachers" of our children. What better teachers can the children count on than the ones that gave birth to them, or the ones that they call "mommy and "daddy" all the time? Please, please trust in the Lord, let him into your heart so we can get his over with. We want our children to take the time out this season and try their best to seek out one person, if possible, and lean a little bit about that one person. Invite them to come to church with you, and yes, you can even invite them to that grand "Easter Egg Hunt", but invite them to see the Lord the way you see Him. Let them know that He is there to support them and show them the way. He is their Light, let Him shine on them and know He is everyone's Lord too.
I hope this finds you all doing well as can be, as I am. I'm trying to see that my granddaughter does help with others, and she can reach out and touch at least one of her friends to read what God is all about. Even if she only reaches out to one, that is one more that will know there is one God that loves them and wants them to know He cares for them, as if they were His only children too.

I have tried to get on here and write more about what is going on, but to no avail. I can't seem to find time to just have a few minutes alone. I wonder how I did it way back when I had two small boys, a full time job and a house hold to run? I played on two soft ball leagues a week on top of all that..HOW in the world did I do it? Whow knows, for now I'm too old to remember. But I have found myself wanting to get back on here and catch up on writing what is happening to my life. I am a 57 yr. old grandmother, not in terrible shape, but it could be a whole lot better, trying to raise my 8 yr. old granddaughter that is diagnosed with RAD, ODD, ADHD and PTSD. I think I've explained to you what RAD and ODD are. I think you've heard of PTSD and ADHD. RAD is one of the most awful diagnoses a child can be given when they are in such a young stag of their lives. It is reactive attachment disorder. That means as a baby these kids, babies as you'd call them, were left by themselves in a crib, on the floor, in a box, just left unattended all the time without any human bond. It is an amazing thing, the touch of a human to another human. It may not seem like much, but yes, indeed it is a very heart renching, life saving ordeal for a small child to go through. A baby must first of all be thought of as a gift from God. If they aren't what are they exactly? Not something that can be just left laying around and not bothered with. Another human life is something we always should cherish. I will have no part of any conversation where you say you don't care about anyone. You know you're telling a lie. If you don't truely care about someone, how can you call yourself a christian? You know that God gave his only begotton son up for us. How can we let our own flesh and blood just sit around and be ignored? You can't that is why. You need to take that newborn baby and nuroish it, love it like you've never ever laid eyes on them. Even though they are your own flesh and blood, you can' t just simply ignore their basic needs and wants. You have a baby in your arms, and all you can think about, or shall I say all your should think about is what a beautiful gift it is from God.
How did I get off on this subject? I don't know, guess it was just on my mind and I had to let it out. I wish that people would see that it takes a village to raise children. I mean, with everything going on in the world, as it is today, it takes each and everyone of us to insure that we nurture each child that we come across. If we don't, what do our own children expect in their future? They won't know to grow up and nurture others and you know before too long, the process of even loving someone else will be an after thought. Try your best this week, when you come across a child, tell them something good about themselves. If you're their parent, take some time with them, nurture them as much and as often as you can. If they (the child) belongs to someone else, say you don't know them, but just see them in passing. Stop, ask the parent how they are doing, when you see the child, say something good to that child to let them know they are here for a purpose. Let the parent know you care too. If you see that parent in the store with a crying child, try to offer a little help to the parent, even if it is just trying to entertain the child for a brief moment to make them stop crying. You'll be surprised how that one second you distract them will help them stop their crying and focus their attention on what you're staying or doing. The parent will be thankful, the patrons in the store will be so thankful, and you get that warm and fuzzy feeling you've accomplished something, even if it were for a brief second. You can make a difference in a child's life, even if it is for a little while. I'll be hoping to see the children in my children's church class tomorrow. I hope they are there ready to learn, or at least listen. I hope the parents continue to bring them, as the parents can get refreshed by feeling Jesus wash over them with relief and their children will learn what Jesus is all about and learn that HE is the one they should belive in. HE is their father in heaven and they should abide by HIS laws. They should follow what their parents are telling them and trying to teach them. I pray that the children will continue to want to learn and want to listen to the word of God and what he has to say to each and everyone of us. God Bless you all today....
